Crufts 2015

What a weekend that was! Now, I'm not actually a dog person. I get on with them in 1-2-1 situations, but I find dogs in the street quite intimidating and having been bitten by one while out on a run, I get a little bit sketchy when they are at parkrun etc.

But my friend asked if I wanted to come to Crufts, to meet her, some other online friends and to see one friend in particular's two dogs. So I said yes!

Not going to lie, I was quite quite terrified of the idea of dogs roaming around, but I realised quickly that they would all be on a lead (let's face it, no-one who's dog has made it to Crufts is going to let it loose, are they?!) and that they would be behaved, or they wouldn't be bloomin' show dogs!

So of course, I painted my nails:

I painted a Samoyed on my thumb, because I was going there specifically to meet this dog:
What a beautiful, beautiful boy

We also met a dog that was an absolute boss bitch, and reminded me of Cher! Their owner was only too happy to make them pose for us and let us take pictures!
I have no idea whether it's male or female, all I know is that this dog can WERK!

We had a marvellous time, catching some of the agility action in the main arena and walking around the Discover Dogs section trying to find me an Irish Setter, which we did!

Of course, this experience has become marred somewhat with the sad news that a dog has possibly been poisoned at Crufts! What kind of a monster could do this to an animal that literally relies on humans for its existance? I hope they burn.
