RuPaul's Drag Race: Bring Back My Girls

DUDE! It all went a bit cray-cray this week when last week, RuPaul announced that she was going to bring someone back into the competition

*scrambles desperately to find another catchphrase for the extra heading I now need*

And Ru started off by introducing that there was someone special here to see the ladies

The girls have to dress up in Tuckahoe Prison gear and pose in drag in 20 minutes for:

 I really really enjoy these quick challenges, it forces the queens to do quick, rough-and-ready drag without the face tape or poise:

And after Kennedy was announced as the winner of this mini-challenge (I can't disagree, I liked her cross top and her ashy knees were funny) they announced that the whole gang were coming back to re-join!

I don't think a single one was happy about this situation, apart from Ru.

Ru explained that they were going to become conjoined twins and needed to be matched together for this and Kennedy as the winner was allowed to match up the girls. To be quite honest, she didn't do the worst job. She matched alike queens as much as she could, unfortunately leaving Tempest and Jaidynn for the last pair. A less-twinsy twinset couldn't have been realised, but honestly, how would you have paired them all up? I invite your comments!

I'm not sure which of these lineups I'd feel safer with!

Ru's outfit this week was a winner. Her skintone looked stunning against the mint green of the dress, I just wasn't so keen on the tassly bottom (fnar). This would've been amazing in a wiggle.

In the end, Ginger Minj had to lip sync due to the terrible sloppiness of the outfit and the misshapen boobs (I would still wear the hell out of that outfit in singular, god I love pink leopard print) and Jaidynn was put against her in her third bottom.

The "3 Strikes and You're Out"rule struck, but to be honest, she had no chance. Her and Tempest did the best they could, and I'm really really glad that Jaidynn didn't piss and moan like Ginger did. Gurl, if you went out, it's not because of Sasha, it's because you were defeated the moment you saw the others. Jaidynn you were classy and you worked your ass off. Well done.

So this manicure is for you, I loved the disco look, you did the best with what you could and it was LOVELY to see Tempest back.

RuPaul's Drag Race: If You Can't Love Yourself, How the Hell Are You Going to Love Somebody Else?

OMG 8 Queens left? Truly after the departure of Kandy Ho there is no chaff left in with the wheat. (Almost) every departure will be a heartache for me, and this week was the first of those wrenches.

No mini-challenge this week, because the main challenge is SNATCH GAAAAMMMMEEEE.

And after the video-message from Ru and a little guest-appearance by Bianca, they were off to the workroom

First off Violet and Miss Fame BOTH wanted to be Donatella Versace. I have no idea why. She's not the first person I think of when I think about funny, comedic people who would be great on a panel. Too many of the Snatch Game contestants go for style over substance. Do they not remember how great Pandora Boxx's Carol Channing was?

Personally I think that was a set up right from the beginning, putting two queens on who chose the same boring non-entity? They absolutely knew that this would happen.

I hate hate HATED Kennedy as Little Richard, but then again I just hate Kennedy and her stupid contacts, so I guess I was biased.

What didn't get affected by my bias was how terrible Maxx was :( Seriously absolutely FLAT as Sharon. I knew from the opening part that he was in trouble and that was before everyone else was completely amazing as their characters.

Katya was a bit neither here nor there and Jaidenn was pretty one-lined. I know that these bitches know that they are doing to have to do Snatch Game on the show, I don't understand why they aren't more prepared!!

Talking of prepared, Ru's prepared outfit this week was downright SHONKY - a yellow dress with a see-through pink section over the top and a '60s vibe:

RU! YELLOW AND PINK MAKE ORANGE. IT STRAIGHT UP CLASHES WITH YOUR NAILS AND EARRINGS. It also finishes too early.

The theme for the queens this week was "Leather and Lace" - at least I knew I'd be able to do things with this one!!

Katya - not enough leather for me, or hair volume, again.

Kennedy - the dress and curves were magical. The hair, not so much.

Violet - growing back on me like a rash that won't go away!

Maxx - those haunting red eyes!

Jaidynn - I really liked this playful look and I loved the hair but the pleather really showed on the hemming

Pearl - Pretty in Pink

Miss Fame - that corset is at least 2 sizes too big for you!

Maxx and Jaidynn ended up having to duel, and the song that was used was Jaidynn all over, Maxx had no chance ("No More Lies" by Michel'le)

And so, with the spiderweb hat, the haunting red eyes and the corset, this week's Maxx nails are a bittersweet design, complete with rhinestone mole and as I was so hurt there was no grey hair, a faded silver on the thumb.

RuPaul's Drag Race: No T, No Shade

Week 6! And what a way to start off... They had the Pit Crew pose with pants and numbers inside, if you found a monster before you stopped, you lost all your points.

The main challenge this week was to act out a version of the story of Merle Ginsberg not coming back for Season 3 of RPDR.

I am SO FUCKING SICK of the acting challenges this season. Where are the creative 'give them some scraps' sewing challenges? I miss them. Also, for reasons I'll explain later I'm not entirely sure what is going on any more :(

The first group was Kennedy, Katya and Ginger. Kennedy is straight up a Motherfucking Hot Mess right now. She had absolutely ZERO of Ru's mannerisms and couldn't get her shit straight. Her runway outfit was also fucking terrible, that's further down.

 Kandy Ho, Max and Violet were thrust together. Honestly, I wasn't scared for Max when I saw the groups, because against these two I knew she would be amazing. I was slightly more scared for her when I saw her take on Merle I was worried because while she got to explain it to Ross Matthews, you don't get to explain it before it's shown to everyone.

Kandy however had issues with her entire thing. Her wig was crazy, with it showing her natural hairline all around the edges and she didn't even understand what she was saying. I appreciate that English isn't her first language, but she should know at this point she should be learning harder.

Jaideyynnn was actually pretty ok, with Pearl and Miss Fame in her group, I'm surprised they didn't come first! It was a pretty entertaining version of the three of them!

Ru wore one of my more favourite outfits this week, metallic, hourglass, up-do, YASSSS.

Edit: Ru came through to the work room this episode to tell them that this week's runway was "Death Becomes Her" and they all "Ooohed" and these were the outfits. At the time I remember thinking "Well, some of these are very well put together!!" but then during Untucked it turned out that they already knew about this theme before they arrived (as Pearl had used her tanning death outfit for the singing challenge)

I don't like this!! I want to see them sewing and fretting, not grabbing something they already had, or made before they got there. I expect more out of my Queens by Season 7, not less!!

At the end, Jaideyennne and Kandy had to lip sync for their lives with Kandy Sashaying away. I was pretty gutted, as Kandy's outfit was pretty basic and I didn't know what to do and I spent the whole song wishing that JDF was gone, but alas, you get a boring black manicure with a hint of Vampire
